Florence, Ky. – Isaac Wenrich hit a go-ahead home run in the seventh and Freedom pitching held the Otters scoreless for the final seven innings in a 4-3 win over the Evansville Otters. After allowing three runs in the first two innings, Braulio Torres-Perez was sensational for his final five-plus frames. The Florence lefty only allowed two base runners after the second and earned the win with seven strong innings. After the Otters (46-36) took a 3-0 lead into the third inning, Florence (38-45) struck for their first runs. With the bases loaded, Andrew Godbold laced a double to right, scoring Travis Weaver and Daniel Fraga. Evan though Taylor Oldham was thrown out at the plate trying to score the tying run, the Freedom cut the deficit to just one at 3-2. Torres-Perez and Evansville’s Shane Weedman traded zeros for the rest of their outings. Torres-Perez struck out a career-high six, while allowing three runs (two earned), five hits, and two walks in seven-plus innings. One big swing off the bat of Wenrich gave Florence the lead for good. He launched a two-run home run off of reliever Ken Frosch in the seventh to put the Freedom ahead 4-3. In…
