FREEDOM TO HOST STRIKING OUT CANCER NIGHT WEDNESDAY

Florence, Ky. – This Wednesday, the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, is hosting its annual Striking Out Cancer Night, presented by Thorntons. Cancer survivors and their families from throughout the region will be in attendance as the organization remembers those lost, while providing hope and encouragement for survivors. All cancer survivors are encouraged to claim complimentary tickets through FlorenceFreedom.com for themselves and their immediate family members thanks to our sponsors. During Wednesday’s doubleheader with the Normal CornBelters, the Freedom will wear pink “Hope” jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game. The proceeds from jersey sales will benefit cancer research and support groups in our area. One of the signature moments will include a cancer survivor “call down”. All survivors in attendance will be welcomed on to the field and, as they stand on the first and third base lines, the remaining crowd will stand and applaud in support of the survivors’ courage. “This call down moment is one of the coolest things all season,” Freedom VP and General Manager Josh Anderson said. “It’s truly a goosebump moment for everybody and the smiles and tears you see on the faces of those on the field are priceless.”…
