Final Selections to the 2018 Frontier League All-Star Rosters

SAUGET, Ill. – Just days after announcing the 2018 All-Star Game rosters, the Frontier League now announces the final roster additions. This year’s All-Star game will feature Rookies vs Experienced instead of the traditional East vs West format. The first twenty-four players were voted upon and the managers get to make the final three selections. Experienced players being added to round out the 2018 Experienced All-Star roster are Gateway’s pitcher Alec Kisena and designated hitter Trae Santos along with Southern Illinois pitcher Kyle Tinius and first baseman/catcher Chance Shepard. Alec Kisena who is taking the place of Evansville’s Luc Rennie who has signed a professional contract with the New York Mets, has appeared in eight games for the Grizzlies this year making eight starts and going 43.1 innings. The Seattle, Washington native is in his second year with the Gateway Grizzlies and is 4-2 on the season with a 4.15 earned run average to go along with 58 strikeouts. Designated Hitter Trae Santos who is in his first season with the Gateway Grizzlies has appeared in 49 games this season and his hitting .301 on the year.
