EVANSVILLE’S CARLOS CASTRO AND TYLER BEARDSLEY TAKE HOME BOTH WEEKLY AWARDS

Two Evansville Otters players have earned Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 30th. Carlos Castro has won Player of the week and Tyler Beardsley earned Pitcher of the week. The awards are chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. This is the second straight week that an Evansville player has won the Player of the Week award Castro follows fellow teammate Ryan Long. This week saw the Otters go 4-2 with two shutouts and swept the Schaumburg Boomers. Castro turned in a .435 batting average with two homeruns, four runs batted in and posted a 1.218 OPS.
