COW PATTERN JERSEY TO KNOCK OUT HUNGER

Florence, Ky. – The most unique jersey promotion in sports is going to take the field Friday night at the Florence Freedom 2016 season opener. In a partnership with Chick-fil-A on Houston Road, the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, will have one player each night wear a special cow pattern jersey to knock out hunger in Boone County. During the game, fans can bid on the jersey and the highest bidder will take it home off the player’s back. All of the proceeds will benefit GO Pantry. “The idea came from watching a volleyball game,” Freedom General Manager Josh Anderson said. “I’m not that familiar with the sport so the libero fascinated me because I was curious as to why they wore a different color jersey. I wanted to implement a different color jersey into our games with a connection to a great cause, so fans would ask about it and look into it. It’s a win-win for the sponsor and promoting advocacy for the charity.” GO Pantry is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that works with Boone County elementary schools to provide food to children who do not have enough to eat at home.
