Normal CornBelters’ outfielder Nolan Meadows and Joliet Slammers’ starting pitcher Kaleb Ort were named Frontier League Players and Pitcher of the Week, respectively as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Meadows, in his second season of professional baseball, and first season in the Frontier League managed to get 10 hits in his 24 at bats this week. To start off the week, Meadows went 2-4 with 2 RBI, 1 Home Run, and 1 run scored. He followed up this impressive performance on Thursday, where he then went 3-4 with 1 double, 1 triple, 1 Home Run, 3 RBI, and 3 runs scored. In the weekend series verses the Miners, Meadows went 3-11 with 1 Home Run, 3 RBI, and 1 run scored. Before joining the Frontier League, Meadows spent his time in Pecos League with the Roswell Invaders where he finished with a batting average of .354 where he managed to hit 6 Home Runs, 34 RBI, 5 doubles, and 1 triple.
