The 2016 Frontier League Championship Series has been set to start on Tuesday September 13 at Bosse Field at 6:35pm. The Evansville Otters will be taking on the River City Rascals for the hardware. Game 4 will also be played at Bosse Field on Wednesday, September 14th. Games 3 and 4 will be played at River City Rascals CarShield Field in O’fallon, Mo. If it is necessary for game 5 the series will go back to Bosse Field in Evansville, IN. The starting pitchers have been decided for each team. For the Evansville Otters they will be throwing first year professional right-hander Matt Wivinis. Wivinis had a 4-0 record for the regular season and is 1-0 in playoffs thus far. His ERA for the regular season was a very short 1.58 in the 12 games he pitched, while earning 43 strikeouts. The 23- year old played collegiately at Eastern Illinois University as well as Kansas State University. River City Rascals have decided to also throw first year professional left-hander Austin Warner. Warner threw in 10 games during the regular season and earned a 4-1 record with a 4.42 ERA, while getting 42 strikeouts. He pitched one game in the previous…
