The manager of the Capitales de Québec, Patrick Scalabrini, is in full crusade regarding his pitching staff for the next season of the Capitales de Québec, as evidenced by the signing of three new members for the 2022 edition of the team, right-handers Michael Austin, Samuel Adames and Marcos Encarnacion. These additions come just weeks after the selection of six pitchers in Equipe Quebec’s dispersal draft: Yordy Cabrera, Miguel Cienfuegos, Jared Mortensen, Stephen Knapp, Henry Omana and Evan Rutckyj. “Over the years I have adjusted my approach and over the last few years I didn’t want to sign anyone too early knowing that some quality options were quite possibly going to be available later in the off-season.
