CRESTWOOD, IL – The Traverse City Beach Bums(25-44) gutted out a back-and-forth win over the Windy City Thunderbolts(38-31), by a final score of 13-10, ending a twelve game skid. With one out in the first inning, Jeremy Stidham hit his first home run as a professional as he crushed one over the left field walk. After a Steven Patterson walk, Will Kengor slammed a two run homer to straight-away center, his 14th of the year. Alexis Rivera followed with his own solo bomb to right, giving the Bums a 4-0 lead. The lead did not last long as Windy City scored six runs in their half of the frame. Keenyn Walker led off by blooping a double down the left field line. On the play, Will Kengor and Clint Hardy collided and were taken out of the game. Walker would later score on a fielding error, then Tim Zier would drive in two with a double and Blair Beck would clear the bases with a three-run double, giving the Thunderbolts a 6-4 lead after one.
