A few games came down to the wire Thursday night in the Frontier League. Get caught up with a quick recap: The New York Boulders complete their sweep of the Sussex County Miners with a 1-0 victory. The only run came in the bottom of the eighth when Jack Sundberg reached on an infield single. That was the only run on the night given up by Miners’ starter Tyler Alexander, who gave up only six hits and struck out ten. Boulders starter Orsen Josephina went 6 1/3 scoreless innings, while allowing just three hits and three walks, and striking out nine. The Boulders’ bullpen was able to close out the final 2 2/3 frames to secure the victory. The New Jersey Jackals edged the Tri-City ValleyCats 3-2 with the go-ahead run scoring in the eighth inning.
