BOULDERS ADD SEVEN TO ROSTER

As they prepare for their initial season in the Frontier League in 2021, the New York Boulders this past week announced the signing of six players and the acquisition of a seventh in a trade. In the trade with the Frontier League’s Washington Wild Things, the Boulders acquired 24-year-old righthanded pitcher Jake Dexter in exchange for infielder Richie Fecteau. Dexter was signed out of the University of Southern Maine in 2019 by the Los Angeles Angels and spent that season with their Arizona Rookie League team. Fecteau, 26, played one season, 2019, with the Boulders, hitting .236 with 16 home runs and 38 RBI. The players inked to deals by the Boulders were righthanded pitchers Nathan Alexander and Zach Schneider, as well as lefthanded pitcher John Cain, along with first baseman Ray Hernandez, shortstop Austin Dennis and outfielder Milton Smith.
