SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, came from behind again to take the rubber match from the Southern Illinois Miners, 3-1. The Miners scored an unearned run in the first before the Boomers scored two runs on an Argenis Aldazoro single. Aldazoro has hits in each of his first three games as a Boomer. Schaumburg added an insurance run in the seventh on a Mark Nelson RBI double. Seth Webster earned his third straight win as he battled through six innings of work, allowing one run on six hits and striking out six. The Boomers bullpen combined for three shutout innings with Evan Boyd earning a five-out save, his first since June 23. Kenny Towns extended his hitting streak to eight with a single in the fourth inning.
