Boomers’ Jamie Bennett and Freedom’s Dennis Pelfrey Headline All-Star Game Coaching Staff

SAUGET, Ill. – With first place leads by the Schaumburg Boomers and the Florence Freedom, Jamie Bennett and Dennis Pelfrey have been named the 2017 Frontier League All-Star Game Managers. Jamie Bennett will be serving as the East All-Star manager for the second time (First appearance in 2012) in his 6 season managing history. Bennett will be bringing his coaching staff from Schaumburg who will include: Adam Olow (Hitting Coach), Anthony Smith (Pitching Coach), Bill Fratto (Assistant Coach) and Mylie Leatherman (Athletic Trainer) to join him. With Joliet hosting All-Star Week, Slammers Manager Jeff Isom will be joining the Boomers to complete the East staff. Jamie has been the manager for the Boomers since its inaugural season in 2012. Bennett served on the East Division team staff in 2015 and 2016. The Boomers have a 3.5 game lead on the Washington Wild Things with a record of 30-15. In the off-season Bennett resides in Tennessee. Dennis Pelfrey will be the first Florence Freedom manager to head the West All-Stars. Joining Pelfrey will be Zac Mitchell (Hitting Coach), Brian White (Pitching Coach) and Bryan Jett (Athletic Trainer). Dennis enters his third season as the skipper for the Freedom.
