BOOMERS HIRE BRICE DAVIS AS NEW HITTING COACH

The Schaumburg Boomers have announced the addition of Brice Davis to the 2021 coaching staff. He will serve as the team’s hitting coach. Davis, comes to Schaumburg after spending the last two seasons as a coach at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). He primarily worked with the hitters and served as the team’s infield coach. He replaces Derek Shomon, who joined the Minnesota Twins organization as a minor league hitting coach. The Fishers, IN native also spent two seasons as the Varsity Hitting Coach at Fishers High School. In his two years at his alma mater the team set 19 records on offense and won the 2018 Class 4A State Championship. “I am very excited to be bringing Brice on board with us,” said manager Jamie Bennett. “We had a lot of quality candidates interview for our hitting coach position and I feel Brice was the best fit for us.
