TRAVERSE CITY, MI – After a season-opening six game road trip, the Traverse City Beach Bums(3-4) had a successful homecoming with a 4-1 win over the Lake Erie Crushers(3-4). After a scoreless first inning, the Beach Bums got the scoring started in the second. With one out, Elijah Trail singled to centerfield. Kendall Patrick drove him home with an RBI double that skimmed to the lieft field wall, and it was 1-0. Traverse City added on in the fourth inning, putting up three runs on four hits. Will Kengor led off the frame with a single to right. Alexis Rivera smacked a double to right, moving Kengor to third, and with those hits, each extended their hitting streaks to seven games. Trail followed them with a 2-run double to left, then Giancarlo Brugnoni drove him in with a single, giving them a four run advantage. Lake Erie got on the board in the top of the seventh with sacrifice fly by Robb Paller. He drove in Sean Hurley who walked then moved to third when Josh McAdams singled to center. After going down in order in the eighth, the Crusher got a two out walk in the ninth, but McAdams fouled…
