After a day off, the Frontier League picked up right where we left off, with six games Tuesday. Here is a recap of the action: The New Jersey Jackals edged out the Washington Wild Things 3-2. Nick Ward hit an early home run in the first to give the Wild Things a 1-0 lead. In the second, the Jackals responded with a Stanley Espinal home run to tie it, and another run scoring on a two-base error. Washington’s Andrew Czech would tie it in the bottom half after a solo home run of his own, making it 2-2. Then in the fourth, New Jersey took the lead 3-2 with an Espinal base hit. Spencer Hereford got the win, giving up two runs in five innings pitched for the Jackals, and Dylan Brammer shut the door in the ninth for the save.
