WASHINGTON, Pa. (June 29) – AJ Bogucki tossed 5.1 scoreless innings in his start, as the Wild Things won a rain-shortened affair in the middle game against Joliet Saturday at Wild Things Park. The final was 3-0 after rain stopped play heading to the home sixth. Joliet was unable to crack Bogucki, who went to 2-1 with the win, as he logged 5.1 scoreless with a new career-best eight strikeouts. He walked three and allowed only two hits. Washington scored a run in the first on an error by third baseman Riley Krane for the Slammers before adding a run on a wild pitch in the fourth and on a fielder’s choice RBI for Blake Adams in the fifth.
