The Trois-Rivières Aigles have agreed to a contract with left-handed pitcher David Gauthier for the 2022 season. After Louis-Philippe Pelletier and Raphael Gladu, the gunner becomes the third Quebecer to sign an agreement with the Trois-Rivières team. “David is an asset to any team. We are lucky to have a guy like him in our roster. He’s a quality athlete and smart player who knows what to do to win”, explains Matthew Rusch, manager of the Aigles. Gauthier will be in his second season in the Frontier league. Last year, the 24-year-old was on the mound for 60 innings with Équipe Québec. “I expect him to fight for a position in the starting rotation. He has shown many times over the past year that he has what it takes to improve and give his best,” added Rusch. The training camp will begin on May 1 st .
