WASHINGTON, PA – The rivalry and battle for first place continues as the Road Warrior Black Sox take on the Brilliance Sox during the second game of todays Empire League Series matchups. On the mound today are two talented ones in Nick Garcia for the Black Sox and Luis Nova for the Brilliance Sox. Nothing going through the first three innings as great pitching by both Garcia and Nova prevented any offense. Garcia allowed 1 hit and struck out 3 batters matching Nova’s 3 strikeouts through 3. The first run of the game would come in when a sacrifice fly to left by Vee Desai scored pinch runner Alex Polka to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the 5th.
