On September 11, 2001, 343 New York City firefighters, 23 NYPD police officers and 37 Port Authority officers died when the World Trade Center towers collapsed. A total of 2,973 people lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks and countless more were impacted.
The Climb to Remember is an annual stair climb at Truist Point to remember those that lost their lives. The event is open to the entire community, whether you climb the stairs or just support the first responders who participate in the event. Participants are encouraged to climb one step for each life lost on 9/11.
The Climb to Remember is free and the public is invited to attend.
