Currently, Walter leads the league in wins (two) and strikeouts (21). On May 24th, he led the Jackals to a 7-3 win at Quebec throwing seven innings, while allowing just three earned runs on six hits with 10 strikeouts. A few days later, the Penn State Alum guided New Jersey to another victory shutting out the Trois-Rivieres Aigles for seven innings as the Jackals won 6-0.In 2012, Walter was drafted in the 29th round by the Kansas City Royals.
