The Capitales took the series split on Sunday, winning the series finale by a score of 8-7 for their second straight win. They trailed 7-1 in the sixth inning, but came clawing back, scoring runs in the sixth and seventh innings to cut the deficit to four. After a three-run explosion in the eighth to make it a 7-6 lead, the Capitales still trailed in the ninth inning. With bases loaded and no one out, RF Marcus Knecht connected on a RBI single to tie the game. The bases remained loaded when C Maxx Tissenbaum (pictured) stepped to the plate. Tissenbaum delivered the winning run, getting hit by a pitch to send a runner home in walk-off fashion, giving the Capitales their 32nd win of the year.Elsewhere, the Champions defeated the Jackals 10-4 and the Boulders defeated the Miners 6-2.
