STOCK’S SINGLE IN THE EIGHTH PROVES TO BE DIFFERENCE MAKER IN JACKALS VICTORY

August 12 Recap New Jersey 3, Quebec 2 – Box Score First baseman Richard Stock’s (pictured) RBI single in the eighth inning gave New Jersey a 3-1 lead and that proved to be the difference in the game as the Jackals defeated Quebec by the score of 3-2. Stock went 2-for-4 on the night with a run batted in while 3B Conrad Gregor had a 1-for-3 outing with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Right fielder Demetrius Moorer also chipped in a pair of hits and a run for New Jersey. Jackals pitcher Matt Dallas tossed two innings of relief and notched the victory. The righty gave up an earned run on a hit and struck out two batters. With the win, Dallas is now 2-0 on the season. For the Capitales in the loss, DH Jhalan Jackson had a 2-for-3 night with a home run.
