A three-run fifth inning was the difference as the New Jersey Jackals defeated the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 3-1 in game one of the doubleheader. An RBI double from CF Dvontrey Richardson followed by an RBI single from LF Michael O’Neill set the stage for an RBI groundout from 2B Rylan Sandoval. Starter Lee Sosa (pictured) earned the win allowing one earned run over five innings, while reliever Fernando Cruz earned the save.
