Trois-Rivieres CF Brenden Webb’s (pictured) two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning capped off an incredible six-run rally as the Aigles won in a walk-off, 6-5 over Ottawa. With one out and runners on first and second, SS Alexander Ayala singled home 3B Daniel Mateo to make it 5-1 Champions. Two batters later, C Kyle Lafrenz gets hit by pitch to bring in another run and cut Ottawa’s lead to 5-2. The next batter, 2B Ryan Brockett, hits a single to bring in Ayala and DH Trevor Gretzky to make it a one-run game at 5-4. Following a wild pitch and a walk to RF Julio Martinez, Webb gets the big hit to bring in two runs and win the game for Trois-Rivieres.In other league action, Quebec defeated the Cuban National Team, 11-3 and New Jersey beat the Dominican Republic, 17-8.
