JUNE 3 LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 5, Trois-Rivieres 1 – Box Score Quebec starting pitcher Arik Sikula (pictured) tossed seven strong innings in leading the Capitales to a 5-1 victory over Trois-Rivieres. Sikula allowed one earned run on four hits and struck out six in a 104-pitch outing. The 29-year-old is now 3-1 on the season and has given up only four walks in 24 2/3 innings pitched. Offensively for Quebec, LF James McOwen went 2-for-3 with a run scored while 2B Yordan Manduley had a hit in four at-bats and drove in two runs. The Capitales scored a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings and one more in the seventh. For the Aigles, LF Javier Herrera hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Rockland 8, New Jersey 6 – Box Score Rockland broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the fifth inning as the Boulders outlasted New Jersey by an 8-6 score. The Boulders added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth inning and one more in the eighth to withstand a late Jackals rally.
