SIKULA NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK

The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Quebec Capitales RHP Arik Sikula (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 9. Sikula made a pair of starts this week and earned two victories. He first took the mound on Monday to face the Ottawa Champions at home, and allowed two earned runs over 7.2 innings. Sikula struck out four as Quebec won 9-3. He returned to the hill on Saturday to take on the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, and hurled 7.1 shutout frames. Sikula struck out six in a 10-1 victory.
