SANTOS' 3-RUN SHOT GIVES QUEBEC EXTRA-INNING WIN

The Quebec Capitales tied the score in the top of the ninth to force an extra frame and then CF Roel Santos (pictured) hit a three-run home run in the top of the 10th to edge the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 8-5. The Aigles built an early lead thanks to a second-inning sac fly from 1B Connor Crane and two more runs in the fifth – one coming on a sac fly from DH Daniel Mateo. But Quebec chipped away at that lead with a two-run home run from RF Marcus Knecht in the top of the sixth. Both teams scored a pair of runs in the eighth; pinch hitter Kalian Sams hit a two-RBI double and C Kyle Lafrenz had an RBI single to set the stage for the dramatic finish.
