SANDOVAL WALKS OFF MINERS FOR NEW JERSEY

Jackals 2B Rylan Sandoval (pictured) hit a walk-off single to give the Jackals a 2-1 home win over the Miners on Wednesday afternoon. After the Miners scored the game’s first run in the top of the ninth inning, New Jersey mounted a rally in the home half of the frame. SS Max Casper hit an RBI single to tie the game, and CF Johnny Bladel walked to load the bases with two out. Up stepped Sandoval, who hit a ball into left to win the game.
