ROCKLAND WINS IN WALK-OFF ON MONTVILLE’S HOME RUN

AUGUST 19 EVENING LEAGUE RECAP Rockland 3, Ottawa 2 (10 Innings) – Box Score Mike Montville (pictured) led off the 10th inning with a solo home run to give Rockland a 3-2 walk-off win over Ottawa. With the victory, the Boulders took three-of-four in the series with the Champions. Montville went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI while Cody Regis added a pair of triples and a run in a 2-for-3 night. Conrad Gregor and Rylan Sandoval also chipped in a hit and an RBI for Rockland. Boulders pitcher Kyle Hansen tossed a scoreless inning of relief and picked-up the victory. Hansen gave up only a walk in the four batters that he faced. With the win, Hansen is now a perfect 5-0 on the year. For Ottawa in the losing effort, Steve Brown had a 1-for-3 game with a pair of walks, a run scored and an RBI. Quebec 7, New Jersey 0 (Game 2 – 7 Innings) – Box Score Quebec finished off the doubleheader sweep of New Jersey as they defeated the Jackals in game two, 7-0.
