Bottom 9 Baseball, LLC has announced it will rename its Rockland County, NY based Frontier League professional baseball franchise as the “New York Boulders,” effective immediately. During this off-season, the Boulders were part of the Can-Am League merger into the Frontier League, with the new 14-team circuit set to begin play for the 2020 season as the largest independent professional baseball league in the North America. Formed as an expansion franchise in 2011 and now entering its 10th season of play, the Boulders will retain their proud association with Rockland County while rebranding to better reflect the diverse geography of their fan base and corporate market. “Rockland County is and will always be our home,” noted team President Shawn Reilly, “and we will always have an emotional connection to Rockland, but the reality is a large percentage of our fan base lives outside Rockland and across the metro New York…
