REGNAULT, MOONEY HAVE SOLID FINAL ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE MARKS

The Can-Am League’s two players in the prospect-heavy Arizona Fall League finished very strong with Miami’s Peter Mooney hitting .278 in 23 games, a solid average for a middle infielder, and lefty Kyle Regnault (pictured, New York Mets) maintaining the third best earned run average (0.71) and striking out 17 in 12.2 innings spread over eight appearances.With a premium always placed on lefthanders, the parent Mets may give Regnault a better look next spring because of his AFL play which came after a 5-0, 3.28 summer and nearly a strikeout per inning for their top minor league team in Las Vegas.
