Photo Credit: Rockland Boulders DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders INF Cody Regis (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 27. Regis was 10-for-24 (.417) at the plate in six games this week, recording two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and three RBI. Regis’ week began with a memorable feat in a Wednesday doubleheader against the Quebec Capitales, as he homered in both ends of the twinbill. In game one, Regis was 2-for-3 with the home run and a pair of runs scored as Rockland won 3-2. He followed that effort up with a 1-for-4 headlined by the home run in a game two setback. Rockland wrapped up a series victory on Thursday, taking a 5-2 win over the Capitales. Regis’ lone hit of the game was his first triple in a Boulders uniform, and he scored a run in the win. Despite the fact that Rockland was swept over the weekend at Trois-Rivieres, Regis’ bat was a contributor for the Boulders all weekend long.
