Photo Credit: Quebec Capitales DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Quebec Capitales INF Zach Wilson (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending September 3. Wilson’s final seven games of the regular season yielded a .440 (11-for-25) average, and he added two doubles, two home runs, and 11 RBI to his line. The Long Beach, Calif. resident began his week on Tuesday, August 28 with a 1-for-3 performance that included a double, an RBI, two walks, and two runs scored in an 8-6 road win at the Ottawa Champions. He led the Capitales to another win on Wednesday in Ottawa, going 2-for-3 with an RBI on a sacrifice fly, a walk, and a run scored. Quebec won 10-6. The Capitales wrapped up a series sweep on Thursday. The game was tied at 2-2 in the sixth inning when Wilson connected on a three-run home run.
