QUEBEC SCORES FIVE UNANSWERED RUNS TO TOP ROCKLAND

The Quebec Capitales gave up a run in the top of the first inning but kept the Rockland Boulders scoreless the rest of the way to capture a 5-1 win. CF Jared McDonald doubled in the leadoff spot for the Boulders and scored when SS Dylan Tice singled in the next at-bat. But the Capitales took the lead in the bottom of the first as 1B Jordan Lennerton (pictured), who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, singled home a run and CF/SS Jonathan Malo scored on a sac fly. CF Daniel Rockett added to the lead in the second with a leadoff home run. Lennerton left the yard himself with a two-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning.Elsewhere, New Jersey held off Trois-Rivieres 10-8 and Ottawa topped Sussex County 11-4.
