The Jackals scored two early runs in the second inning and never looked back, taking a 3-1 road win over their Garden State rival Miners on Tuesday afternoon. LF Brian Joynt singled to begin the second, and went to third on a double from 3B Taylor Brennan. 2B Yariel Vargas singled the duo home two batters later. RF Ryan Retz added an RBI single in the ninth to provide insurance for the Jackals. LHP Isaac Pavlik (pictured) threw six shutout innings for the Jackals, picking up his 1,000th Independent strikeout in the process.
