Luis Garcia, who finally appears fully accepted as part of Philadelphia’s bullpen instead of shuttling between the Phillies and Triple-A, is getting some of the financial reward that goes with being established in the major leagues.The onetime Newark right-hander, now 31, is reported to have a $1.2 million salary this season. He has now logged just over three years of major league service time, and after 66 appearances one year ago has a composite record of 9-13 with four saves and a 3.66 earned run average for 192 trips in from the bullpen since 2013.
