OTTAWA WINS BACK AND FORTH AFFAIR WITH MINERS

With a run in the top of the ninth inning, the Ottawa Champions sealed an 11-10 win against the Sussex County Miners in a wild, back-and-forth affair. CF Kenny Bryant (pictured), who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, scored the eventual game-winning run as LF Matt Helms reached on an error. The game was tied at 10 heading into the final frame after three lead changes. Ottawa racked up 16 hits thanks to the efforts of seven different batters, six of which had multi-hit games. Elsewhere, Rockland beat Trois-Rivieres 14-3.
