OTTAWA WALKS OFF ON QUEBEC WITH DUARTE'S SINGLE

With RF Kenny Bryant on second base to start off the bottom of the 11th inning, 3B Donal Duarte (pictured) broke the 2-2 tie with a one-out single to give the Ottawa Champions a 3-2 walk-off win against the Quebec Capitales. The Capitales were limited to just two hits in the game by the Ottawa pitching staff and both came from DH Yeicok Calderon. Calderdon also had both of the team’s RBI as he had an RBI double in the first and an RBI putout in the sixth. The Champions cancelled out Calderon’s offense with a pair of runs in the top of the second inning. C Daniel Grauer had an RBI double and in the next at-bat, 2B Albert Cartwright singled to score Grauer.Elsewhere, New Jersey and Trois-Rivieres were postponed to Tuesday.
