Durham, N.C. — The contract of Rockland Boulders 1B/OF Joe Maloney has been purchased by the Baltimore Orioles organization, the Can-Am League announced on Thursday.Maloney was a dominant presence in the Boulders’ lineup in 2017, breaking the league record with 35 home runs en route to earning league Player of the Year honors for the second time, as well as a spot on the postseason all-star team.
