C Marcus Nidiffer (pictured) went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI to lead the Rockland Boulders past the Ottawa Champions 8-5. Rockland outhit Ottawa 10-7 en route to their third win of the year. Reliever Edgar Valle earned the win out of the bullpen throwing two scoreless innings and reliever Hector Nelo received the save. After leading 5-4 heading into the eigth, the Boulders would add three runs in the bottom half of the inning to cushion their lead. For Ottawa, LF Matt Helms and 1B Kenny Bryant each had multiple hits in the game to pace the Champions’ offense.
