Photo Credit: Drew Wohl/Rockland Boulders DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders C Marcus Nidiffer (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 15. A fixture in the Rockland lineup for five seasons, Nidiffer enjoyed a strong week this week. In his seven games, the Bristol, Tenn. native was 9-for-23 (.391) at the plate with a double, three home runs, and six RBI to his name. Nidiffer began his week on Tuesday in doubleheader action against the New Jersey Jackals. In the opening game, he went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in a 3-1 Rockland win. New Jersey won the second game as Nidiffer was 0-for-2 with a walk. On Wednesday, Rockland earned a 5-4 win at New Jersey, and Nidiffer was 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk in the victory. The Boulders hit the road to Quebec on Thursday to open a four-game series at the Quebec Capitales.
