The New Jersey Jackals’ pitching staff combined to shutout the Sussex County Miners, paving the way for a 6-0 win. Starting pitcher Lee Sosa (pictured) earned the win as he worked seven innings and allowed six hits while striking out seven batters. Relievers Robert Stock and Nick Gonzalez worked the eighth and ninth innings respectively without allowing another hit. Offensively, 1B Art Charles went 3-for-5 and hit his 25th home run of the season. CF Dvontrey Richardson added three RBI and 2B Johnny Bladel went 2-for-4 and scored three times.
