Elsewhere in spring training camps, infielder Peter Mooney (pictured, New Jersey ’15) is getting a nice look early, going 2-for-5 with two runs batted in while getting into three of Miami’s first four games.Three former Can-Am pitchers have gotten those game-day call-ups from the minor league camp to be ready for play, as needed, in major league exhibitions. Johnny Hellweg (New Jersey ’16-’17) got into a game for Pittsburgh, giving up a run and two hits in two-thirds of an inning.
