Sussex County scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a 4-3 deficit and would hold on for a 5-4 victory over New Jersey. Miners SS Steve Nyisztor had a 2-for-4 night at the plate with three RBI while 3B Nick Giarraputo had a pair of hits and scored a run. Sussex County CF Jay Austin chipped in with a triple and 2B Chris Chiaradio (pictured) collected two hits in three at-bats.Elsewhere around the Can-Am, Rockland beat Ottawa, 3-1 and Quebec-Trois-Rivieres were postponed due to rain. Doubleheader scheduled for Saturday.
