Sussex County plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 7-7 tie and carry the Miners to a 9-8 win over the Rockland Boulders. This contest was a true slugfest as both teams combined for 17 runs on 26 hits. Sussex County RF Carl Thomore went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI while reliever Josh Wood (pictured) tossed an 1/3 of an inning to notch the win.In other league action, Quebec beat Trois-Rivieres, 7-5 and New Jersey defeated Ottawa in 12 innings, 5-4.
