JUNE 12 AFTERNOON RECAP Rockland 4, Sussex County 2 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Score Rockland LF Conrad Gregor launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Boulders a 4-2 walk-off win over Sussex County in game one of a doubleheader. The Miners jumped out in front 2-0 in the top of the second inning when RF Rubi Silva hit a sacrifice fly to score 2B Mikey Reynolds and C Luis Alen hit a solo blast. Rockland came back to tie the contest at 2-2 in the third when RF Conor Bierfeldt hit a two-run home run. The score would stay that way until the seventh when Gregor hit his walk-off home run to give the Boulders the win. Gregor went 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBI while 2B Jared McDonald had a hit in two at-bats and plated a run. Rockland pitcher Nick Kennedy tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick-up his second victory. Kennedy gave up a hit and struck out two in the five batters that he faced.
