MILLS’ SEASON ECHOES YEAR IN QUEBEC
Source: Can-Am League News
Independent Baseball Chatter – by Bob Wirz Southpaw Jordan Mills has age on his side (turned 26 on May 11) as he puts up numbers in the Washington minor league system similar to those he posted two years ago when he went 6-0 with three saves and a 1.96 ERA for the Quebec Capitales. The California native, who had three years in the Houston system before his year in Quebec, has a 1.42 ERA at Potomac, the Nationals’ club in the Carolina League. The 6-foot-5 Mills has saved all three games in which he has been given that opportunity while allowing only nine hits in 19 innings during his 11 appearances. He has fanned 18 and walked 10. Previously the chief spokesman for Baseball Commissioners Bowie Kuhn and Peter Ueberroth, Bob Wirz has been writing extensively about Independent Baseball since 2003. He is a frequent contributor to this site, has a blog, www.IndyBaseballChatter.com, and a book about his life, “The Passion of Baseball”, is available at Amazon.com for books or Kindle readers, or for autographed copies at www.WirzandAssociates.com.
