Trois-Rivieres, Quebec — The Trois-Rivieres Aigles named Maxime Poulin the club’s new manager on Monday, replacing Pete Laforest, who had guided the team since its inception in 2013. Poulin has also been a coach with the Aigles since the club’s first season, and helped to lead the club to the 2015 league title. The position will be Poulin’s first managerial job. As a player, he spent eight seasons as a shortstop for the Winnipeg Goldeyes from 2001 to 2008, when the club was in the Northern League.
