MATEO NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME

The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Trois-Rivieres Aigles INF Daniel Mateo (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 27. Mateo hit .400 (10-for-25) last week, notching a double and a triple, and drove in four. On the season, Mateo is hitting .311 with 18 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 71 RBI. He won the Can-Am League Pointstreak Player of the Week award for the week ending July 23 as well.
